Dental care should fit your needs and your budget. Your Olathe Dentist accepts a wide range of dental insurance plans and offers several ways to pay, including CareCredit financing for patients who qualify and our Premier Care Plan for patients without insurance.

Before treatment begins, we’ll explain the recommended care, go over the expected cost, and help you understand your insurance benefits and payment options. If you need more than one procedure, we can also talk through priorities and a treatment plan that works for you.

Dental Insurance Plans We Accept

Your Olathe Dentist is in network with or accepts more than 20 dental insurance plans. Your coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on your own policy, so it helps to check your benefits before starting treatment.

We also accept United Concordia coverage, including TRICARE and active duty plans. Veteran patients referred for dental care by the VA may also be able to receive care at our Olathe office.

Participation or acceptance is subject to your individual plan. Call (913) 780-0011 with your insurance card handy, and our team can check your specific coverage.

How We Help You Understand Your Benefits

Dental insurance can be confusing, especially when you're trying to figure out what a treatment will cost. When you share your insurance information, our team can contact your carrier, review your benefits and estimate what your plan may pay.

Before treatment begins, we'll go over:

  • The recommended treatment and its estimated cost.
  • The portion your insurance is expected to cover.
  • Your estimated out-of-pocket amount.
  • Ways to pay for any remaining balance.

We file claims electronically for you and your household, keep track of them, and follow up on delayed benefits. If your insurer has questions, we can send digital X-rays and written reports. Your insurance company makes the final coverage decision, so an estimate is not a guarantee of payment.

Understanding Dental Insurance Coverage

Most dental plans sort services into categories, and coverage differs from one policy to the next. Preventive services, such as routine exams and cleanings, often receive a higher level of coverage than other treatment. Fillings and extractions may have a different cost share, while crowns, bridges and dentures often fall under major services.

Plans may also include deductibles, waiting periods, frequency limits, annual maximums or exclusions. Cosmetic treatments, such as teeth whitening, are usually not covered when they are done only to improve appearance.

If you’re not sure whether a treatment is covered, ask us to review your benefits rather than assuming you’ll have to pay the whole cost yourself.

Making the Most of Your Dental Benefits

Many dental insurance plans have an annual maximum, which is the most the plan will pay toward covered care during a benefit year. Your benefit year may follow the calendar year or another schedule, depending on the policy.

If you need several procedures, timing can affect how you use your available benefits. When it makes sense for your health, we can talk about scheduling some treatment in one benefit period and the rest in the next.

We’ll help you understand your options, but treatment should always be planned around your dental health first, with your insurance details in mind, not just the calendar.

Ways to Pay, Financing and the Premier Care Plan

For out-of-pocket costs, we accept cash, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

If you’d rather pay over time, we accept CareCredit healthcare financing, which offers 0% interest-free options for patients who qualify, subject to approval and CareCredit’s terms. No dental insurance? Ask about our Premier Care Plan, an in-office plan for patients without insurance.

It is an affordable alternative for families who do not have dental coverage. Please call the office for details.

If you need several procedures, we can also discuss which concerns should come first and whether the rest of your care can be planned over time.

New Patients: $49 Exam and X-Rays

New to our office? Our $49 new patient exam and X-rays special is an easy way to get started. It includes a comprehensive exam and a full set of diagnostic X-rays, so you have a clear picture of your oral health.

After your exam, our team will explain any recommended treatment and give you an estimate. If you have insurance, we’ll review your benefits and your expected portion, then go over payment and financing choices for any balance.

You should always understand the recommended care and the expected cost before you agree to treatment.
